Drag race: Cybertruck + Porsche 911

In 2019 Elon Musk said: “The Cybertruck can tow a Porsche 911 across the 1/4-mile faster than the Porsche 911 can go by itself.”

Four years later the Cybertruck went into production and Tesla created this slightly fake video:

Elon Musk’s statement years ahead was bold, but interestingly it is almost true. In reality, Musk’s statement is true for the 1/8-mile distance, not for the 1/4-mile distance as we can see in the test shared by Out of Spec:

Even though the Cybertruck was 0.24 seconds slower on 1/4-mile towing the Porsche 911 compared to Porsche using it’s 3-litre turbo engine, the point is: the most powerful vehicles are electric vehicles and if you choose an EV, you stop putting CO2 into the atmosphere where it messes up our climate. When we burn liquid fuel, it’s volume grows more than 1000 times when it becomes gaseous CO2. That is why CO2 is such an issue, it’s amount is just so vast. If CO2 would be a visible gas, we would stop creating it immediately.
