The 2027 Volkswagen ID.3 GTI comes with the spirit of the legendary GTI. The ID.3 GTI builds on the already enjoyable driving character of the rear-wheel-drive ID.3, adding more power and excitement. It is the first rear-wheel-drive GTI!

A lot of torque is delivered to the rear wheels and the ID.3 GTI feels like a muscle-car when accelerating out of corners. The car even recreates the sound of a combustion engine. The ID.3 GTI proves that CO2-free driving doesn’t have to mean losing the driving thrills.

The low centre of gravity of an electric car improves handling, while a usable battery capacity of 79 kWh provides the energy for a long trip. At 4.29 m / 14 ft long, the car retains the compact proportions expected of a sporty hatchback.
