2027 electric Mercedes-AMG GT

The 4-door AMG coupé proves that high-performance electric vehicles can still feel emotional, dramatic, and unmistakably driver-focused.

Visually, the new GT stays true to the idea of a “GT for four” — a long, low grand tourer that combines supercar attitude with genuine everyday usability. Despite carrying a battery pack inside the floor, AMG engineers have managed something especially impressive: the roof of the car is 4 cm lower than on the previous gasoline powered 4-door AMG GT. That lower stance gives the car a sleeker silhouette and planted, aggressive proportions enthusiasts appreciate.

But the biggest surprise may come from the soundtrack.
Electric performance cars are brutally fast, yet many still struggle to deliver the emotional connection created by a combustion engine. AMG tackles that problem with synthetic gear changes and sport motor sounds that make the driving experience immersive. The concept was famously pioneered by Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, whose playful simulated shifts and engineered sound effects proved that the computer game-like experience actually puts a huge smile on a driver’s face.
Mercedes-AMG captures that same sense of excitement while pairing it with the brand’s traditional refinement and high-speed stability. The electric 4-door AMG GT is the first electric car to genuinely satisfy both luxury buyers and hardcore driving enthusiasts.
From its dramatically low body to its emotionally engineered sound experience, the 2027 AMG GT suggests engineers understand that this car is not just about acceleration numbers — it is about making drivers grin every time they press the pedal.
Considering there is no place for carbon emissions in the future, this is truly the reinvention of AMG.

The AMG GT will have a super fast charging as we can predict based on the 2025 prototype, the AMG GT XX.
